Recruitment Process
Thank you for your interest in the recruitment process of Kappa Delta Phi NAS at Shippensburg University. Each semester, our Sorority attracts ambitious students with the drive and desire to positively impact the community. We foster relationship-building, and provide a unique support system that will open doors for members throughout their futures.
Fall Recruitment
Fall recruitment is an informal process where sororities will plan their own events and pick the time and location. You can find fall recruitment schedules on that sororities page. For this recruitment you go to what events and sororities you are interested in, but we always recommend visiting all the sororities. At the end of the few week process sororities will start extending bids whether that be in person or over email.
Spring Recruitment
Spring recruitment is a formal process where the Panhel council creates the time and places for events. This process consists of different rounds where you will visit each sorority the first day then rank them, as you continue the process you will visit the sororities that you ranked that also matched the sororities ranking. This helps girls to find their perfect home. This is also the first semester that first year students can join! Spring recruitment tends to be more popular since you visit every sorority and it's formal.
Bid Day
Bid Day!! The most exciting time during the recruitment process! Bid Day happens once all the recruitment events are finished. This celebrates you getting a bid from the sorority! This day is normally a big celebration with lots of pictures.
